DAYLIGHT & WETGLAZE FILM APPLICATIONS
DAYLIGHT APPLICATION

The term ‘Daylight Application’ applies to any application of window film to the face of the glass which stops at the edge of the visual area of the window. For the purpose of blast mitigation, security or anti vandalism, the window film will usually be a minimum of 175 microns thick
This thickness of window film applied in this way will often afford sufficient protection. However, you should always seek professional advice to ensure the correct specification for your particular needs
WETGLAZE APPLICATION

The term ‘Wetglaze Application’ applies to a daylight application with the addition of a silicone-based sealant to adhere the window film to the frame of the window. This very often provides the necessary additional protection required when a daylight application is not considered sufficient
However, extreme care must be taken to observe manufacturer’s recommendations if this is to be used for blast mitigation. You should always seek professional advice to ensure the correct specification for your particular needs
